CDA Receives Special Water Rescue Kits from Chinese Blue Sky Rescue Foundation

ISLAMABAD: December 8, 2025: In line with the direction of Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA) and Chief Commissioner Islamabad, Muhammad Ali Randhawa, a meeting was held between Member Administration CDA, Talat Mahmood, and a team from the Chinese Blue Sky Rescue Foundation at the CDA Headquarters. On this occasion, the Chinese Blue Sky Rescue Foundation handed over special water rescue kits to the CDA. The Director General of Islamabad Emergency Services, along with officers from relevant formation of the CDA, were also present. These special kits will not only prove helpful in rescue operations during water-related emergencies but will also further strengthen the city's emergency response capabilities. Member Administration CDA, Talat Mahmood, thanked the team from the Chinese Blue Sky Foundation for their cooperation and said that Pakistan holds the cooperation and supp from its brotherly country, China, in high regard. He said this valuable gift is a significant addition to the safety of the Federal Capital, Islamabad and for better emergency services. Member Administration CDA, Talat Mahmood, said that the CDA is taking all possible measures to ensure the safety of the citizens of the Federal Capital, Islamabad. He further added that the modern rescue kits will make our teams more effective in dealing with water emergencies. Chinese Blue Sky Rescue Foundation said that they will continue cooperation under the shared objective of saving human lives. In this regard, specialized training on the use of these kits will also be provided to the relevant CDA staff. It is noteworthy that in July of this year, the Chinese Blue Sky Rescue Foundation had also provided specialized training to CDA staff for dealing with water accidents. The foundation had given specialized training on saving lives in fast-flowing water and on boat operations. The Chinese Blue Sky Rescue Foundation had already gifted modern water rescue equipment to the CDA in July of this year. In this context, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) will also be signed soon between the CDA and the Chinese Blue Sky Rescue Foundation to further promote cooperation. To handle emergencies, the Chinese Blue Sky Rescue Foundation will also provide modern equipment and specialized training to CDA staff. The Chinese Blue Sky Rescue Foundation is currently providing its services in more than 20 countries. On this occasion, both sides reiterated their resolve to further strengthen relations and mutual cooperation.
