Under the leadership of Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa, a balloting ceremony was held to send CDA employees on Hajj. Chairman CDA approved increasing the number of employees going for Hajj this year from 66 to 76. ISLAMABAD: (August 5, 2025): Chairman CDA and Chief Commissioner Islamabad Muhammad Ali Randhawa presided over a transparent and open balloting ceremony held at the CDA Headquarters to select employees for Hajj. The event was attended by CDA Member Admin and Estate Talat Mahmood, Member Finance Tahir Naeem, Member Planning Dr. Muhammad Khalid Hafiz, Member Environment Esfandiyar Baloch, Member Engineering Syed Nafasat Raza, CDA Workers Union General Secretary Chaudhry Muhammad Yasin, Director Labour Relation Mumtaz Ali Shar, Deputy Director Labour Welfare Atabari Arshad, Director IT Shahzad Malik along with a large number of CDA officers and employees. The balloting included 9,352 non-gazetted employees (Scale 1 to 17), comprising 9,123 male and 229 female employees. As a result, 77 CDA employees will have the opportunity to perform Hajj this year, Insha’Allah. Chaudhry Muhammad Yasin and all CDA Board members present at the ceremony were thanked, with special gratitude extended to everyone involved. The draw was conducted with complete transparency, and prayers and congratulations were offered for all participants. Chairman CDA emphasized the importance of employees praying for the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the country when they visit the holy land. He urged them to pray for Pakistan, its people and those who work tirelessly day and night, asking Allah to elevate their status and bless their intentions. He said that this institution runs on the strength of its employees and the prayers of their mothers, combined with their hard work and Allah’s blessings. As an administration, they strive to contribute as much as possible. Responding to Chaudhry Muhammad Yasin’s request, the number of employees selected for Hajj was increased by ten this year as well, a move highly appreciated by all CDA employees. Chairman CDA advised employees to maintain good intentions, work hard day and night and remain accountable to Allah. He assured that with dedication, no one would be able to look down upon their institution, city or country. On this occasion, Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa congratulated all successful employees, stating that those selected are undoubtedly Allah’s honored guests. He requested them to pray not only for their forgiveness but also for the country’s progress, the institution’s development, and the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for Pakistan. He prayed for Allah’s protection over Pakistan from all calamities and for it to become a haven of peace. He also announced an increase in the number of employees going for Hajj from 66 to 76 this year. Chaudhry Muhammad Yasin, General Secretary of the CDA Workers Union, congratulated the successful employees, calling it a blessed day for CDA staff. He acknowledged the Chairman CDA compassionate leadership in not only presiding over the ceremony but also personally conducting the draw. The increase in the number of employees selected for Hajj from 66 to 76 was a gesture that would be remembered forever.
