ISLAMABAD: September 4, 2026: Citizens have appreciated the Capital Development Authority (CDA) for its prompt and effective response following heavy rainfall in Islamabad, particularly the swift clearance of rainwater from major roads within hours by the Sanitation teams which provided relief to citizens and helped restore normal traffic flow. While Islamabad slept through the night amid heavy rainfall, CDA sanitation and drainage teams remained active in the field, clearing roads, removing debris and ensuring that drainage gratings and critical points remained clear. Their timely response and continuous field operations helped the city wake up to a smooth and safer morning commute. CDA sanitation teams remained fully mobilized throughout the rainfall to ensure timely drainage, smooth traffic flow and maximum relief for citizens.
