CDA EMERGENCY AND DISASTER MANAGEMENT TEAMS SUCCESSFULLY EXTINGUISH FIRE AT AURA GRAND MARQUEE, E-11/4, ISLAMABAD

Islamabad, November 1, 2026: In line with the vision of Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi, Federal Minister for Interior, and under the leadership of Sohail Ashraf, Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA), CDA's Emergency and Disaster Management Teams responded promptly to a fire incident at Aura Grand Marquee, Sector E-11/4, Islamabad. The emergency call was received at 10:30 PM on October 31, 2026, and CDA firefighting teams reached the site within ten minutes, at 10:40 PM. A comprehensive and coordinated firefighting operation was immediately launched to bring the blaze under control and prevent it from spreading to adjoining structures. A total of 48 officials and personnel participated in the operation, supported by 7 fire tenders, 1 ambulance, 1 rescue van, 4 Environment Department vehicles/units, 8 water tankers and 1 Navy vehicle. Through the timely response, coordinated efforts and continuous firefighting operations of all participating departments, the fire was completely extinguished at 1:45 AM on November 1, 2026. The prompt and effective response of CDA's Emergency and Disaster Management Teams helped prevent further damage, successfully protected neighbouring buildings and structures, and ensured that no loss of life was reported. Citizens appreciated CDA's timely, professional and effective emergency response, acknowledging the swift action and dedicated efforts of the firefighting teams in bringing the fire under control and preventing any loss of life. Chairman CDA Sohail Ashraf stated that CDA remains committed to ensuring the safety and security of citizens through an effective emergency response mechanism and close coordination among all relevant departments. He emphasized that the Authority will continue to strengthen its preparedness and response capabilities to ensure timely action during emergencies and disasters, so that precious human lives can be saved through prompt and effective interventions, with the blessings of Allah Almighty (SWT).
