Capital Emergency Service CDA Conducts Fire Mock Exercise at Serena Hotel Islamabad

ISLAMABAD, The Capital Emergency Service (CES), Capital Development Authority (CDA), conducted a comprehensive fire mock exercise at Serena Hotel Islamabad to assess fire safety preparedness, evaluate emergency response procedures and enhance the safety of occupants in the event of a fire emergency. The exercise was organized to evaluate the effectiveness of existing fire safety arrangements and ensure that emergency response mechanisms are capable of protecting precious human lives and minimizing risks during unforeseen incidents. As part of the mock exercise, the fire alarm system was activated to simulate a fire emergency, following which occupants were evacuated through designated emergency exits in accordance with established safety procedures. The exercise provided an opportunity to assess the coordination of emergency response teams, the effectiveness of evacuation arrangements and the overall readiness of hotel management and occupants to respond to a fire emergency. The drill was successfully conducted, enabling CES, CDA, and the Serena Hotel Administration to review emergency preparedness and identify areas for further improvement in fire safety and evacuation procedures. Such exercises are essential for strengthening institutional readiness, promoting a culture of safety and ensuring a prompt and coordinated response during actual emergencies.
