ISLAMABAD: 6 March, 2026: Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA) and Chief Commissioner Islamabad, Muhammad Ali Randhawa chaired a meeting at CDA headquarters to review the progress on various projects and initiatives in the Federal Capital, Islamabad. The meeting was attended by CDA Member Administration and Estate Talat Mehmood, Member Finance Tahir Naeem, Member Planning and Design, Dr. Khalid Hafiz, Member Environment Esfandyar Baloch and other senior officers. Officers of concerned formations briefed the meeting regarding the projects and initiatives launched for public welfare in the Federal Capital, Islamabad. The meeting reviewed the ongoing upgradation and renovation work at various Basic Health Units (BHUs) in the Federal Capital, Islamabad. The meeting was informed that the construction work on the upgradation and renovation of the Basic Health Units(BHUs) located in Sector G-13 and Golra has been completed. The meeting was informed that 80 percent construction, development and renovation work of the Basic Health Unit in the Jhangi Sayedan area has been completed, while the tendering process for the construction of the Basic Health Unit located in Sara.e.Kharbooza is in progress. The meeting also reviewed progress on establishment of state of the art e-libraries in public parks. The meeting was informed that work is being carried out at 7 different locations in Islamabad for the establishment of e-libraries. The meeting was informed that the establishment of digital libraries are among CDA's key projects to equip citizens with modern facilities. The meeting was also discussed the construction of the National Police Hospital. The meeting was Also informed that the CDA is establishing 4 Emergency Rescue Stations to ensure the safety of citizens. Land has been allocated for the establishment of Emergency Rescue Stations in I-9, I-14, G-11 and the Humak Industrial Area. The meeting was told that the process of preparing PC-1 for the establishment of Emergency Rescue Stations is also underway. The meeting also discussed that the task force established regarding the water supply for the twin cities. Similarly, the progress made on the Shahdara and Dotara Dam projects was reviewed during the meeting. Chairman CDA and Chief Commissioner Islamabad, Muhammad Ali Randhawa, said that the CDA is committed to the welfare of citizens and providing them with the best possible facilities, and all resources are being utilized for this purpose.
