Chairman CDA and Chief Commissioner Islamabad, Muhammad Ali Randhawa, Inaugurates Women’s Ramadan Sahulat Bazaar in G-11

ISLAMABAD: 3rd March, 2026: Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA) and Chief Commissioner Islamabad, Muhammad Ali Randhawa, inaugurated the stalls established at the special Ramdan Sahulat Bazar for women in Sector G-11 on Tuesday. On this occasion, the CO MCI, women from the Islamabad Women's Chamber of Commerce, as well as a large number of consumers, were also present. According to details, approximately 48 stalls in the G-11 Ramdan Sahulat Bazar have been allocated to women in this regard. The stalls set up in the Women's Ramdan Sahulat Bazar will be operational till Chand Raat. On this occasion, Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa visited various sections of the Women's Ramdan Sahulat Bazar and inspected the different items available at the stalls. He also inquired about problems from the women vendors and other customers. Briefing Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa regarding the women's stalls and the Ramdan Sahulat Bazar, relevant officers informed him that a Ramdan Sahulat Bazar is being organized specifically for women in Sector G-11 on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr in collaboration with the Women's Chamber of Commerce. Stalls for items including bangles, mehndi and readymade garments among other goods, have been set up for women on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, while at other stalls, daily use items and edibles are being sold to citizens at affordable rates. During the briefing, Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa was informed that excellent arrangements for security, sanitation and monitoring have been made at the Ramdan Sahulat Bazar. The briefing said that during the holy month of Ramdan, edibles are available at official rates in Islamabad's Ramdan Sahulat Bazar, and Price Control Magistrates are taking immediate action on complaints regarding quality and prices. The briefing informed that strict implementation of official rates is being ensured in all Ramdan Sahulat Bazar and continuous monitoring is also being carried out to ensure the sale of edibles at official rates. The briefing said that the CDA and district administration are fully active to provide all possible relief to citizens during the holy month of Ramdan. Similarly, strict actions are being taken against profiteers and hoarders during the holy month. The briefing further informed that in line with the vision of the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Shehbaz Sharif and the Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, a cashless system has been introduced in the "Ramdan Sahulat Bazar". Chairman CDA and Chief Commissioner Islamabad, Muhammad Ali Randhawa, said that the high quality and standards of all available edibles in the Ramdan Sahulat Bazar must be ensured under all circumstances. He said that strict implementation of the official price list should be ensured in the Ramdan Sahulat Bazar of the Federal Capital, and relevant officers should ensure their presence in the Ramdan Sahulat Bazar as well as provide immediate resolution of complaints by the customers. Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa directed that the sale of items must be ensured in accordance with the rate list under all circumstances. He said that strict action should be taken against those collecting amounts exceeding the official prices and those involved in illegal profiteering. He further added that the aim of these measures is to ensure the provision of the best possible facilities to the citizens of the Federal Capital during the holy month of Ramdan.
