Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa Inspects Ongoing Construction of Shaheen Chowk Underpass Project

ISLAMABAD: October 28, 2025 — Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA) and Chief Commissioner Islamabad, Muhammad Ali Randhawa, visited the Shaheen Chowk Underpass project on Tuesday. He was accompanied by Member Engineering Syed Nafasat Raza and relevant officers. During the visit, Chairman CDA inspected the ongoing construction activities and reviewed progress on-site. The concerned officers briefed Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa on the current status of the project, informing him that excavation work is progressing rapidly. It was further highlighted that construction activities are being carried out round the clock to ensure timely completion of the project. Chairman CDA directed that the project must be completed strictly within the stipulated timelines and emphasized maintaining the highest standards of quality during all phases of construction. He stated that the Shaheen Chowk Underpass project would serve as a major milestone in alleviating traffic congestion in Islamabad. Upon completion, it will provide signal-free and smooth travel facilities for commuters, particularly benefiting students and residents of the adjoining areas. Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa also instructed the Project Director and Resident Engineers to personally supervise the ongoing construction work and ensure uninterrupted progress on the project.
