Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa Meets Ambassador of Lebanon

ISLAMABAD: October 29, 2025: Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA) and Chief Commissioner Islamabad, Muhammad Ali Randhawa, met with the Ambassador of Lebanon, H.E. Abdullaziz Issa, at the CDA Headquarters on Wednesday. The meeting focused on matters of mutual interest and enhancing bilateral cooperation. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening urban-level relations and promoting collaboration between Islamabad and Beirut. Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa stated that Pakistan holds its brotherly country Lebanon in the highest esteem and expressed the desire to further solidify the sister-city relationship between Islamabad and Beirut. The Ambassador of Lebanon, H.E. Abdullaziz Issa, appreciated the efforts of CDA for maintaining the beauty and development of Islamabad, describing the city as exceptionally green and naturally beautiful. He remarked that the greenery, cleanliness, and overall aesthetic of Islamabad are remarkably impressive. Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa shared that continuous efforts are underway to make Islamabad even more beautiful and environmentally sustainable. He noted that the Margalla Hills significantly enhance the natural charm of the capital. He further highlighted that Islamabad, established in 1960 under a comprehensive master plan, represents a modern and well-structured capital city. Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa informed the Ambassador that a plan is under consideration to relocate all diplomatic missions to the Diplomatic Enclave. He added that the beautification and upgradation of the Diplomatic Enclave are being prioritized, with an emphasis on adding recreational and sports facilities alongside aesthetic improvements. The meeting concluded with both sides reaffirming their resolve to enhance cooperation in areas of mutual interest and to further strengthen cultural and city-level ties between Islamabad and Beirut.
