Chief Commissioner Islamabad, IG Islamabad Review Law & Order Situation; Government's Top Priority is Peace, Security and Protection of Lawful Activities

Islamabad: Chief Commissioner Islamabad, along with Inspector General of Police (IG) Islamabad, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Islamabad and Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) (ADC (G) Islamabad, visited various areas of Islamabad to review the law and order situation and security arrangements in Islamabad and at major entry and exit points and other important locations across the federal capital. During the visit, the senior officials conducted a comprehensive review of security arrangements, deployment of personnel, traffic management and measures being taken to ensure the safety and security of citizens. They also reviewed the preparedness of the concerned departments and the coordination mechanism among relevant institutions for maintaining law and order and responding effectively to any emerging situation. The Chief Commissioner Islamabad said that maintenance of law and order is the topmost priority of the government and the Islamabad Administration. He emphasized that every segment of society, particularly the business community, traders, professionals, government employees and other citizens, should be able to continue their legitimate activities peacefully and strictly in accordance with the law. He further stated that the law will be enforced without discrimination as per law. The Islamabad Administration, Islamabad Police and other law enforcement agencies will take necessary action, strictly in accordance with the law, against any activity that threatens public peace, disrupts routine life or causes inconvenience to citizens, in line with the decision of the Honourable Islamabad High Court. The Chief Commissioner directed all concerned officers to maintain heightened vigilance throughout Islamabad, particularly at major entry and exit points and other important locations of the capital. He stressed that security arrangements must remain fully operational and that close coordination among Islamabad Police, CDA, district administration and other relevant departments must be ensured at all times. IG Islamabad briefed the Chief Commissioner and other senior officers on the prevailing security situation, police deployment and security arrangements across the capital. He apprised the officers of the measures being undertaken by Islamabad Police to maintain law and order, ensure public safety and facilitate the smooth movement of citizens. The Chief Commissioner directed that police personnel remain fully alert and prepared to respond promptly and effectively to any situation. The Deputy Commissioner Islamabad and ADC (G) Islamabad briefed the senior officers on administrative arrangements and coordination with field teams. The officers reviewed the arrangements in place and emphasized the importance of effective coordination among the district administration, police and other relevant departments. The Chief Commissioner Islamabad and IG Islamabad directed police and all concerned departments to ensure effective monitoring through safe city cameras, rapid coordination and timely response to any law and order situation. Field officers were instructed to remain vigilant and ensure that citizens, commuters, businesses and other lawful activities are not unnecessarily disrupted. The officials emphasized that peace, public safety and the uninterrupted continuation of lawful economic and social activities are essential for the smooth functioning of the federal capital. All available resources will be utilized effectively to maintain a secure, peaceful and conducive environment for residents, visitors and the business community. The Chief Commissioner Islamabad reiterated that the Islamabad Administration will continue to work for a secure environment for citizens, businesses and other segments of society. At the same time, any violation of law or attempt to disturb public order will be dealt with strictly and in accordance with the applicable law. The senior officers further directed that security arrangements at all major entry and exit points, sensitive locations and other important areas of Islamabad should remain under continuous review, with strong inter departmental coordination to ensure effective law enforcement and public safety. The visit of Chief Commissioner, IG and other senior officers concluded with directions to all concerned officers to maintain enhanced vigilance, effective law enforcement and coordinated security arrangements to ensure peace, protect citizens and safeguard the uninterrupted continuation of lawful activities across Islamabad.
