ISLAMABAD: (PR: Dated 18 March, 2026): Capital Development Authority (CDA)'s Talent Hunt Ramdan Cup 2026, organized for the promotion of sports and especially cricket in the Federal Capital, Islamabad, has successfully concluded. The final matches of the male and female categories of the CDA Talent Hunt Ramdan Cup 2026 and the closing ceremony were held at the National Cricket Ground F-7 Islamabad. According to details, in the male category, the G-10 Junoon Cricket Club won the final match, while the F-8 JJ Cricket Team emerged as the runners-up. In the women's event, the F-6 Mavericks won the title by 6 wickets, with the F-10 United Cricket Team finishing as the runners-up. In the male category, Muneeb Maqbool was declared Player of the Tournament, while in the female category, Fajar Naveed was named Player of the Tournament. Chief Guest at the closing ceremony was the Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA) and Chief Commissioner Islamabad, Muhammad Ali Randhawa, who distributed prizes among the players who demonstrated outstanding performance. A total of 10 teams participated in the male category, which included the top eight clubs from the Federal Capital, Islamabad. Two team's, Chairman CDA XI and Minister XI, were selected by the CDA through open trials from across Pakistan. Meanwhile, in the women's category, 6 teams participated in the tournament, selected after trials of talented female players from all over Pakistan. In the male category, the Best Bowler award went to Osama Afridi, the Best Batsman award was given to Zeeshan Farid, and the Best Wicketkeeper award was claimed by Fahad Saleem. Similarly, in the women's event, Maham Anis performed best among the batters. In the bowling department, Noor-ul-Ain was declared the Best Bowler, while Mahwish was awarded the Best Wicketkeeper. Cash prizes totaling over 2 million rupees were distributed among the players. The winning women's team was awarded 6 lakh rupees and the runners-up received 3 lakh rupees. The winning men's team received a prize of 3 lakh rupees, and the runners-up were awarded 1.5 lakh rupees. In the with the direction of Chairman CDA and Chief Commissioner Islamabad, Muhammad Ali Randhawa, the prize money for the women's event was increased from 3 lakh to 6 lakh rupees. Chairman CDA said that, on the instructions of Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, the CDA played its full role in making this tournament a success. He said that 8 more grounds would be built in the Federal Capital, Islamabad, on the pattern of F-7. He said that sports facilities would be further improved and made excellent for the citizens.
