CDA Organizes Cleanliness Campaign at Rawal Dam with Active Student and Volunteer Participation

ISLAMABAD: October 15, 2025: In line with the directions of Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA) and Chief Commissioner Islamabad, Muhammad Ali Randhawa, a successful cleanliness campaign was organized around Rawal Dam. Students from schools, colleges, and universities participated voluntarily and enthusiastically in this special drive alongside CDA formations. A large number of volunteers from civil society and citizens also actively took part. The objective of involving students, civil society representatives, and citizens was to highlight the importance of cleanliness. On the instructions of the Chairman CDA, strict legal action has also been initiated against individuals responsible for littering around Rawal Dam. Chairman CDA expressed his appreciation and deep gratitude to all volunteers, including students, civil society members, and citizens, for their active participation in the campaign. He stated that the drive aims to create awareness against littering and promote civic sense among the public. He emphasized that these measures are crucial to protecting aquatic life and preserving the natural environment of Islamabad. It was further highlighted that complaints against littering can also be registered on the CDA Helpline 1334. Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa added that this initiative will not only help restore the natural beauty of Rawal Dam but will also contribute to providing a healthier and cleaner environment for citizens.
