Chairman CDA Reviews Progress on Development Projects; Emphasizes Transparency, Quality, and Timely Completion

ISLAMABAD: November 5, 2025: A meeting was held at the CDA Headquarters on Wednesday under the chairmanship of Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA) and Chief Commissioner Islamabad, Muhammad Ali Randhawa, to review the overall performance of the Authority and the progress on ongoing development projects. The meeting was attended by CDA Board Members, including Member Administration Talat Mahmood, Member Finance Tahir Naeem, Member Engineering Syed Nafasat Raza, Member Planning and Design Dr. Khalid Hafiz, Member Environment Esfandyar Baloch, and other senior officers. Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa stated that several mega projects are being initiated to transform Islamabad into a model city. He highlighted that work is progressing rapidly on the T-Chowk Flyover and Shaheen Chowk Underpass projects, which aim to modernize Islamabad’s road infrastructure and provide signal-free travel facilities to residents. He further added that sector development work has been expedited to meet the growing residential needs of the citizens. Chairman CDA affirmed that all necessary resources will be utilized to develop Islamabad’s infrastructure in line with modern standards. He emphasized that transparency, quality, and high standards will not be compromised in any development project. He directed that all ongoing projects must be completed within their stipulated timelines and instructed to make the monitoring system for CDA’s development projects more effective. Chairman CDA further added that the progress of all development works will be reviewed regularly to ensure timely completion and to promptly resolve any issues that may arise.
