ISLAMABAD: February 14, 2026: A high-level meeting was held regarding the review of development work in new sectors of the Federal Capital, Islamabad and the possession of plots to allottees by the Capital Development Authority (CDA). The meeting, chaired by Chairman CDA and Chief Commissioner Islamabad, Muhammad Ali Randhawa, was attended by Member Admin and Estate Talat Mahmood, Member Engineering Nafasat Raza, Member Planning and Design Dr. Khalid Hafiz along with relevant officers. Briefing the Chairman CDA on the progress regarding sector development, relevant officers apprised that the basic infrastructure work in Sector C-14 is in its final stages and plots in Sector C-14 are ready to be handed over to allottees. During the briefing, it was highlighted that the process of handing over possession of plots in Sector C-14 will commence soon. Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa directed that the process of displaying street numbers signs boards and marking locations of plots on Google Maps in Sector C-14 should be finalized at the earliest. Briefing the Chairman CDA regarding the progress of development works in Sector E-12, relevant officers informed that basic infrastructure work in sub-sectors 1 and 2 of Sector E-12 has been completed. Similarly, plots in sub-sectors 1 and 2 of Sector E-12 are also ready for possession to be handed over to allottees. Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa also directed to make clear the main entry into Sector E-12 to be ensured as soon as possible. He directed that all kinds of illegal constructions and encroachments be removed from Sector E-12 according to the law. He said that the process of identifying plot locations on Google Maps in Sector E-12 should be finalized at the earliest. Briefing the Chairman CDA on the progress of development works in Sector I-12, relevant officers apprised that almost all residential and commercial plots in Sector I-12 have been developed and the process of handing over possession of these developed plots to owners will formally commence soon. Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa said that providing possession of developed plots to citizens is a top priority of the CDA, and the process in this regard will be initiated soon. He remarked that the CDA is going to hand over possession of developed plots in the new sectors of the Federal Capital, Islamabad after decades. Chairman CDA directed that the locations of developed plots in all sectors be marked on Google Maps and citizens be provided with information about their plot locations. He further instructed that not only should the process of handing over plots in all sectors be expedited, but the remaining development work and provision of basic amenities should also be ensured. Chairman CDA further said that all resources will be utilized for the development of new sectors to provide best residential facilities to the citizens of the Federal Capital, Islamabad.
